The 3-year generalist training program to become a qualified nursing professional focuses on the care of people of all age groups.

The training is divided into theoretical and practical phases over the three years. The theoretical instruction takes place at a vocational school for nursing. Practical training placements are completed in various settings, including inpatient care facilities, outpatient nursing services, psychiatric care, and different clinical departments.

During the practical phases, trainees receive structured guidance in selected nursing situations from specially trained practice instructors. This ensures that theoretical knowledge is directly applied and further developed in real-world professional practice.

Requirements for the training:

• At least a secondary school leaving certificate (intermediate school-leaving qualification) or
• A completed vocational training of at least two years or
• A completed training as a healthcare and nursing assistant
• At least German language skills at B2 level
