A large hospital network with academic teaching status operates multiple medical facilities in Münster and provides both inpatient and outpatient care for tens of thousands of patients each year. The organization also collaborates closely with a university and a nursing university of applied sciences.

The central operating theatre includes several modern operating rooms covering a wide range of surgical specialties such as neurosurgery, general and vascular surgery, thoracic surgery, hand and orthopedic surgery, pediatric orthopedics, gynecology, and emergency shock room care.

The central operating department is currently looking for a qualified Nursing Specialist  – Central Operating Theatre to join the team.

Your Responsibilities

• Preparing patients before and after surgery
• Providing and handling medical-technical equipment as well as administering medication and infusions
• Assisting with all anaesthesia procedures, including induction, maintenance, and emergence from anaesthesia
• Maintaining and checking anaesthesia equipment
• Postoperative monitoring of patients in the recovery room
• Caring for severely injured patients in the shock room and independently initiating immediate emergency treatment when required
• Assisting in resuscitation procedures when necessary

Your Profile

• Successfully completed training as an anaesthesia technical assistant or as a qualified nursing professional, ideally with additional specialization in intensive care and anaesthesia nursing
• Initial professional experience in anaesthesia care is desirable but not mandatory
• Confident handling of medical equipment and openness to current medical and nursing practices and developments
• Open-minded, cooperative, and team-oriented personality
• Willingness to participate in on-call and standby duties, including weekends and public holidays
• A positive attitude towards the values of a faith-based healthcare organization
